Beware!!! This person refuses to return the puppy or pay the amount the check is written for.
This check will be removed from this page only when it is paid in full or the puppy is returned. Partial payment is not acceptable. I can only hope she has the intelligence to take care of the puppy. This would make a person wonder. I have always trusted people who love animals, but apparently you can find people like this anywhere. I do not recommend doing business with her, unless you want to be left holding the bag like I am.
The current scam is initiated by a scammer using IP Relay to phone someone who is selling a puppy. Sometimes he makes contact by email. He doesn't ask many particulars about the puppy, usually says he wants it for his son or daughter. He wants to send a check or money order for the puppy and enough money to pay his delivery person to pick it up and deliver to him. The check or money order look valid, but they are counterfeit. You deposit the check or money order and his designated pickup person, usually the perpetrator, gets the puppy. The fake check or money order is returned by the bank and you have lost the puppy. The puppy, in all likelihood, will be sold to researchers.
